@xOxSpongexOx You have to hit the strings just right…

  • JackieMessenger:

@xOxSpongexOx The tuning that I use is C G C D G E. You also need an acoustic electric so that you can plug it in for this style. Hope that helps :)

  • JackieMessenger:

@Akoposizmac Yes, you do need to plug it in for this style, so yes, you do need an acoustic/electric.

  • JackieMessenger:

Tia, I can tell that you have a good ear. This style does have such a clean & hope-inspiring style. …That’s cool that you play guitar too. I hope you put something up soon. I’d love to hear you sing and play and see your smiling face :) …oh, by the way, I recently discovered circleofstrings. He shows some nice 2 & 3 finger chords that are easy to play. Thanks again for your sweet and thoughtful comments. It really means a lot to me. Kind regards, Jackie

  • TiaSiren:

I had to learn to play the guitar first, but now that I know how, I’m excited to try something new like this. This is so beautiful – what an amazing song. And you’re right. It is like a breath of fresh air – so clean and hope-inspiring.

Thank you for giving me ideas on how to try new things.

  • JackieMessenger:

Hey Jeterrulzny2, I have a martin LX1E steel string guitar. My amp (a Roland AC-60) has an echo which makes it sound even better. I’ve been thinking about making a tutorial for this style if it seems like people would be interested. (otherwise, make sure that the tuning is a slack key CGCDGE (slack key means that it is lower or looser than the original tuning) Let me know if that helps or if you’d like me to make a tutorial :) Truly, Jackie

  • JackieMessenger:

Hey, thanks for the kind comments. Nice to see that there are a lot of guitar enthusiasts out there. As for me, I still feel like a novice it guitar, but I must say that I’ve come a long way in the past year. And the movie August Rush made me realize that music is all around us. …Thanks again, Jackie
